AFFECT is hosting a day-long mentoring workshop in conjunction with the 2025 AFA meetings. Twelve women have generously offered to serve as mentors. The event will include both breakout research sessions and panel discussions led by mentors. The breakout sessions will be in small groups, organized by research area. The panel discussions will focus on issues such as publishing, effective teaching, and work/life balance. In addition, there will be a dinner to give participants added opportunity to network.
This event is intended to provide intense mentoring and networking opportunities for participants. Thus, we encourage people who are able to commit to the entire workshop on Thursday Jan. 2, 2025 (ending with dinner) to apply. The AFA will pay for one hotel night, for all participant. AFA membership is required.
